ASUS has just released a new BIOS update for its AMD AM5 motherboards, bringing a feature called “Turbo Game Mode“.
This new mode was designed to improve the gaming experience, especially for AMD’s X3D line processors. The update promises increase gaming performance by up to 35%depending on the game and workload, which can make a big difference for those who want more performance while gaming.

How Turbo Game Mode works
“Turbo Game Mode” works by turning off one of the two CPU chiplets and also Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), which is a technology that uses more cores to process tasks.
By turning off these parts, the focus is on the strongest cores, which helps reduce response times and make games faster and more fluid. This is especially good for games that don’t need to use all of the CPU cores at the same time, allowing the faster cores to do all the work and deliver a better experience.
Currently, “Turbo Game Mode” is available for the ASUS ROG X870E Crosshair Hero motherboard, and will soon be launched for other AM5 boards, such as those in the X670, B650 and A620 lines.
More processor versatility
This feature helps users have more control over how the system works, allowing them to switch between a more gaming-focused mode and another for multitasking, such as editing videos or working on projects that require more cores.
This way, users can choose when they want to prioritize games or other activities. While ASUS hasn’t given exact numbers for all cases, testing has shown that processors like the Ryzen 7000X3D and Ryzen 9000X3D can see performance gains between 20% e 35%depending on the situation. This puts ASUS in a prominent position in the market, along with other companies like Gigabyte, which also launched a similar feature called “X3D Turbo Mode”.
In the end, ASUS is showing its commitment to innovation and improving the experience for its users. “Turbo Game Mode” is a way to meet the needs of gamers, allowing each person to adjust the system according to what they need at the moment. This update places ASUS as a company that is always trying to improve performance and help consumers get the most out of their computers, whether gaming or performing other important tasks.
