Nvidia recently released version 576.02 of its R570 series driver package, focused on the RTX 50 GPUS. The update brought relief to many users who have suffered from faults such as crashes, black screens and overall instability since February.
However, although synthetic benchmarks indicate significant performance advances, part of the community still reports persistent problems.
Notable improvements in synthetic benchmarks
Tests conducted by the site ComputerBase revealed that the new version of the driver provided gains from 6% a 8% no benchmark Steel Nomad do 3DMarkdepending on the GPU analyzed.
The biggest evolution was observed in RTX 5070, 5070 IT and 5080. Already the powerful RTX 5090, both in the release version and with the new driver, presented little or no variation in the tests.

Despite synthetic advances, real game performance is still inconsistent for many users of the RTX 50 series
Performance table with 576.02 vs. driver. release version
GPU | Score with 576.02 driver | Launch score | Variation |
---|---|---|---|
GeForce RTX 5090 | 14.117 | 14.032 | ~0,6% |
GeForce RTX 5080 | 8.550 | 8.094 | ~5,6% |
Geforce Rtx | 6.932 | 6.463 | ~7,3% |
GeForce RTX 5070 | 5.442 | 4.838 | ~12,5% |
Geforce Rtx | 3.537 | 3.526 | ~0,3% |
Stability remains a frequent problem
Even with the improvement in synthetic performance, several users still report Failures in specific gamesincluding Monster Hunter Wilds, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth e Black Myth Wukong. There are mentions of crashes, performance falls and even problems with features such as HDR and G-SYNC in previous drivers.
It is worth remembering that many of these problems have been dragging on since the first R570 series drivers and, although they have been partially resolved with previous updates (such as versions 572.75 and 566.xx), the new version 576.02 does not yet offer full stability.

Community recommendations
Despite performance gains, the technical community and forums recommend caution. If the 576.02 driver causes problems in your system, the suggestion is to go back to more stable versions, such as 572.xx or 566.xxfor those who depend on maximum stability in sensitive applications or recent games.
However, it is worth remembering that this regression can mean loss of access to new features or optimizations.
