Ryzen Threadripper 9985wx of 64 nuclei and more Peak Shimada models appear

The new generation of AMD’s Thread -based Thread -based processors has been in leaks for its code name Shimada Peak for some time. Now, however, transport documents are beginning to emerge by calling the new high performance CPUs by the trade name they are likely to adopt.

The leak of the time mentions the Ryzen Threadripper 9985WX, a model of 64 nuclei that had already appeared in previous leakage without the name. It was listed in a transport document, accompanied by the Ryzen Threadripper 9955wx and the 9945WX, the 16 and 12 -cores Peak variants, respectively.

The new models join the previous leaks that listed the 32 -nuclei ThreadRipper 9975WX and the 9965WX, with 24. That is, the line is basically complete in the transport documents, only the most advanced model by name remains.

Still in November last year we had the appearance of a 96-core AMD Shimada Peak processor, which should be the top of the new Zen 5 Threadripper line.

New threadripper keep TDP?

Unfortunately the document of the time no longer offers processors information beyond their names. He does not report clock, for example, but again mentions 350W TDP, as well as compatibility with Socket SP6.

This leads to believing, according to Videocardz, that AMD should keep the 350W TDP for the new generation of its high performance processors. Unless only the most advanced model is more energy demanding, it indicates the leaks.

Finally, it is worth remembering that we have already had some rumors that Shimada Peak may be the first generation with a 3D V-Cache threadripper-ie an X3D model. If the rumor is correct, it can be a component that arrives later or maybe the high end model will adopt the technology, so AMD would be more careful with the leakage of its name.
