Teamgroup presented its new T-Force Dark AirFlow D5 memory cooler during Computex 2024, a solution with two 40mm fans with 7,000 RPM to help cool channels in activity. However, apart from its features, the format similar to that of the most recent video cards also draws attention.

The manufacturer didn’t say much about its design at the event, but gave a lot of information about the product to those present. One of its advantages is the possibility of adjusting the angle of the fans up to 180 degrees horizontally and 360 degrees vertically, allowing the airflow to be optimized according to your needs.

Another interesting aspect of Teamgroup’s T-Force Dark AirFlow D5 is its mounting system: one of its legs installs via the M.2 SSD screw, while the other sits in the adjacent motherboard mounting space. Although it varies depending on the model, it apparently will not have problems in ATX and mATX formats.

The manufacturer will sell the memory cooler in black and white, without options with RGB lighting. The entire kit occupies 94mm, which also allows it to be installed in the largest SSD kits available on the market. Furthermore, its fans are attached to the DIMM locks, just like the OCZ XTC cooler.

A curious point is that the fans were not specified, however Teamgroup relies on the production of Dongguan Champion and they have the product number CF4010U12D – the same one used in some of the video cards on the market. It is possible that it is being reused to function as a memory cooler, but nothing has been confirmed.

Teamgroup bets on insurance

It is notable that both Teamgroup and MSI did not take advantage of Computex 2024 to showcase their most effective cooler solutions for RAM and also for CAMM2 memories – such as the one presented by Kingston at the event. Both played it safe and brought products that appeal to the already established market.

The need for an exclusive memory cooler varies for each user, but in addition to the T-Force Dark AirFlow D5 model presented by Teamgroup and other dedicated models, the user can also look for liquid cooler solutions for RAM – despite the option presented at Computex 2024 to be more “pragmatic”.
