MSI has launched the Lite Box MS-C918 this week, its new mini PC aimed at businesses and office use. Measuring just 80 x 80 x 36mm, the product literally fits in the palm of your hand – as long as your hand is not too small.

The manufacturer positions its new product as a “medium-term” solution. This means an estimated three-year use for companies that replace their hardware with some frequency. The MS-C918 is a simple mini PC for closed office environments and is not suitable for industries that operate in adverse conditions.

On the hardware side, MSI offers the following configuration options:

  • Intel Alder Lake-N N100 Processors
  • Up to 4GB of 4800MHz LPDDR5 RAM
  • 128GB eMMC storage
  • Two HDMI 2.0 outputs
  • RJ-45 LAN connections, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2
  • 2 x 10Gbps USB Type-A ports, one USB 2.0
  • fTPM 2.0

The new Lite Box mini PC also features VESA holes, which are widely used for monitors. Using the correct screws, you can hang the MS-C918 behind your monitor, ensuring a cleaner work desk.

Unfortunately, no prices have been released for the Lite Box MS-C918, as is usually the case with products for companies. However, the small computer is already on sale at partner stores of the manufacturer.

Lite Box enters the growing mini PC market

Mini PCs similar to MSI’s Lite Box have been around for a while now, but the form factor seems to be gaining popularity recently. While the MS-C918 is aimed at businesses, Minisforum recently released a similar small computer for gaming.

Those who are interested in the small size but don’t like the cube format can check out a more daring option, like one that appeared at Computex this year. Jumper Tech simply showed off a mini PC in the shape of Tesla’s CyberTruck.

Now, for those looking for the most advanced performance in a compact format, the so-called NUC attracts attention. This year, ASUS stood out with the launch of a product in this format within its ROG line, which you can check out the details by clicking here.
