Arm announced three new GPUs, produced for mobile devices such as smartphones. They will be called Immortalis-G925, Mali-G725 and Mali-G625.
The Immortalis-G925 will be configured for up to 24 cores, focusing on “premium” devices. It will bring a performance improvement of 37% and consumption savings of 30% compared to the previous version, the Immortalis-G720.

According to Arm, it will also bring 52% greater ray tracing performance than its predecessor, reducing accuracy in scenes with more complex objects – or 27% improvements with accuracy being maintained.
The corporation is also focused on the use of smartphones and other devices for AI, with 36% improved artificial intelligence/machine learning inference.
The performance of the Immortalis-G925 in some games was also announced. Compared to the previous version, Genshin Impact had an increase of 49%, as well as Roblox running 46% faster. Mobile GPU has seen a 29-72% increase in other popular mobile titles such as Call of Duty Mobile, Diablo Immortal, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile and others.
Arm investing in mobile devices
Arm’s Mali-G725 GPU has the same objective as the Immortalis-G925, but focused on more economical devices. It will be available between six and nine cores.
The Mali-G625 version will have support for between one and five cores, with its production aimed at smartwatches and entry-level mobile devices – where a more complex GPU would not fit due to energy consumption.
It is important to mention that the corporation also released some general information, such as the shipment of 10 million mobile GPUs through its commercial partners – being sold alongside smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs and even XR wearable devices.
Arm also said it is working alongside Epic Games to bring Unreal Engine 5 from desktop hardware to run on Android devices – bringing even more enhanced experiences to smartphones and the like. However, there is still no forecast for this project to be officially presented.
