A few days ago, Google revealed a new plan option for its Google One service, called Google One Lite. Initially, it was only available in India, but the company has already confirmed that it will soon arrive in Brazil.
The idea is to bring a new plan option for those who want to increase their cloud storage space in order to save more files, whether in Drive, Photos or Gmail. The new plan has less extra space, but at a more affordable price.

Double the space of the free subscription
Google One currently offers a few plan options that can be paid for either annually or monthly for those users who want more space. The free accounts, which previously had unlimited storage, now only have 15GB of space to save files in the cloud, and this amount often ends up being insufficient.
Currently, the most affordable plan offered by the company here is Google One Basic, which adds an additional 100GB of space in the cloud service. When Lite arrives here, it will be the most affordable, adding 30GB for a lower price. It will be an option for those who don’t need so much extra space and want to save on the subscription.
Google One Lite price has not yet been confirmed
Although Google has confirmed that the new plan will arrive in Brazil soon, the company has not given details about the possible price that will be charged for it. For now, it is not yet available on the company’s official page with the plans available.
It’s worth remembering that Google One Basic, with 100GB, costs R$7.99 per month (or R$79.99 per year), and is the cheapest so far. Since the new Lite plan is smaller, it is expected to cost at least half that amount, possibly R$3.99. However, as already mentioned, the price has not been confirmed.
It is also worth remembering that all current plans have some exclusive features such as sharing with up to 5 people, however this Lite version will not have this advantage, as seen in India.
