A ASRock announced the mini-PC DeskMate X600. Its main feature is support for external video cards, a way to increase the computer’s graphics power.

With the help of a riser cable, DeskMate X600 owners will be able to use a video card externally. However, with restrictions. Since no additional power connector is provided, the list of VGAs compatible with the DeskMate X600 is limited. Among the options, for example, a 6 GB RTX 3050 could be used.

Regarding the processor, the DeskMate X600 supports Ryzen 7000 and 8000. The computer also allows the installation of up to 4 DDR5 RAM memory modules (maximum capacity of 192 GB), two M.2 NVMe drives and also a 2.5 inches with SATA 6 Gbit/s interface. The dimensions of the DeskMate X600 are 195x85x215mm.

The ASRock DeskMate X600 is currently only available in China. The barebone version, which only includes the case and cooler for the processor, costs the equivalent of US$195 (R$1,046, in direct conversion). The model with the Ryzen 7 8700G processor costs US$635 (R$3,408, in direct conversion).

ASRock did not make it clear whether the riser cable for connecting the video card is included in the kit or whether the user will need to purchase it separately.
