A new development in the clash between Elon Muskowner of X/Twitter and Alexandre de Moraes, minister of the STF, came to light this week. The platform was sentenced by Moraes to pay R$ 700 mil for not deleting defamatory content directed at Arthur Lira, president of the Chamber of Deputies.

In view of non-compliance, it was stipulated that Twitter pay a fine of R$700,000 within five days; In case of non-compliance within this period, the amount would increase by R$200,000 daily. Twitter was aware of the determination, but made no attempt to remove the post in question, much less to delete the account that published the post.
