AMD GORGON POINT PROCESSORS OF 10 AND 12 CORES APPEAR

AMD’s next family and processors for notebooks, currently known as Gorgon Point, appeared in one of NBD’s already anticipated leaks. There are three models listed, two with 12 cores and one with 10, all Ryzen 9.

Gorgon Point will be a refresh of the current Strix Point generation, scheduled for 2026. That is, they are apus for notebooks and compact devices, based on current Zen 5 architecture.

The document does not even mention the code name of processors, but it is possible to infer that they are Gorgon Point, not medusa, because of the socket. Once AMD’s next series is a Refresh, it will use the same Strix Point FP8. Meanwhile, we already have leaks that Medusa Point will need a new larger socket, known today as FP10.

There are three different IDs listed in the transport manifesto. Insiders already risk what these models would be with their trade names:

• 100-000001936-50: Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 Pro
• 100-000001859-50: Ryzen AI 9 HX 475
• 100-000001861-50: RYZEN AI 9 HX 465

Gorgon Point is almost official

AMD has not yet made a mainstream advertisement of its next generation Gorgon Point of Apus, so it is important to note that these names are speculation, based on the scheme that the company currently uses.

However, while we do not have a business name for new processors, they were basically confirmed by AMD. The company spoke of the new series to some of its partners, and photographs of the slides used in the presentation leaked on the internet.

This way, we know not only that Gorgon Point is a Strix Refresh for next year, but also that they will come with an performance with performance above 50tops. In addition, the new processor family will feature a Ryzen 3 variant as the most affordable option, something that even the Krackan Point offer.
