Rockstar has been creating an iconic history in the world of gaming, there’s no denying it. Red Dead Redemption 2 has gone down in video game history as one of the best experiences of all time, and GTA continues to be a success as one of the most complete games even after so many years.
It’s no wonder that one of Rockstar North’s bosses feels confident enough to make a statement about GTA 6, which is currently the most anticipated game in the gaming world. The quote appeared at an exhibition taking place in Scotland. Check it out!

Quote from the Scottish Games Exhibition
Edinburgh, the historic capital of Scotland, is currently hosting the Game On exhibition at the city’s National Museum. It’s the “largest interactive exhibition of the history and culture of video games,” created by Barbican Immersive.
The event offers an in-depth look at the “creative and technological advancements that have established a new medium and art form” and includes several exhibits from Rockstar North, as the studio operates out of Edinburgh.

Among the GTA items on display were a statue of Claude and a 10th anniversary baseball bat from the third game, a skateboard from San Andreas and a replica of the Statue of Happiness from GTA 4. Red Dead Redemption fans were treated to replicas of playing cards and never-before-seen concept art from RDR2.
During the exhibition, there is a highlight for a speech by Aaron Garbut, current head of development and co-head of studio at Rockstar North, revealing that GTA 6 will be “literally the future of gaming” and that the studio is shaping the future.
Here is the translation:
“One of the great things about the video game medium is that it’s constantly changing. To me, we’re literally creating the future, we’re creating real places where people will live, meet, and play. The most exciting thing right now is where we go next.”
GTA fans will remember that Garbut made headlines last year after his son allegedly leaked footage of GTA 6’s development on TikTok. The footage, which was just 13 seconds long, offered viewers a low-resolution look at the open-world city in development.
GTA 6 will be released in 2025
For now, the hype continues to rise. GTA 6 stands out as one of the most anticipated games of the decade, but there is still a while until its release (although it is closer than ever for those who have been waiting for the announcement for some time).
It is scheduled to be released next year, that is, 2025. Rockstar Games promises to deliver a revolutionary experience, maintaining the tradition of innovations that the GTA series has always brought to the market. The game will be available for the next-generation platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no date or forecast for its release on PC yet.
Although the company has not yet released official details about the game’s main plot, there are many rumors and speculations about it. Supposedly, GTA 6 will explore the lives of two protagonists in a story that unfolds in the present day, namely Lucia and Jason, inspired by Bonnie and Clyde.
Fans can expect an even more expansive and detailed world, as GTA 6 is set to feature a bright Vice City, teeming with life and activity. Improvements to the game’s AI and physics promise to make interactions in the game’s world more realistic and dynamic.
