Zotac records RTX 5050, 5060 and 5060 Ti in official documents

A zotac record in Europe may be indicative that Nvidia intends to offer a new entry option to its GPUs that has not appeared since the RTX 30 series. An Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) document leakage shows models from RTX 5060 and 5060 IT, besides an unexpected RTX 5050.

Several previous leaks show that the RTX 5050 should appear on notebooks, but so far there is no talk of a desktop plate model. The past generation did not include an RTX 4050, so it would be a surprise to return on Blackwell. However, it is not uncommon for records at EEC never become real products on stores shelves, so it is important to take this into account with this information from Zotac.

It is possible that Zotac is just guaranteeing the names of its plates to avoid confusion in the future, regardless of Nvidia’s plans. Still, with the prices that video cards have currently reached, a new more affordable model should draw the attention of potential buyers.

What can we expect from a RTX 5050?

At the moment we have only speculation about RTX 5050 for desktops, which may not even exist. These estimates can be made based on what has already leaked about RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti.

Rumors have appeared more than once pointing out that the RTX 5060 TI will offer 16GB, while RTX 5060 falls to 8GB capacity, with GDDR7 chips in both cases. That is, it would be to be expected 8GB or less for the RTX 5050 as well. Maybe GDDR6 to cut costs?

If this GPU option is true, we will have to wait a long time to have official information. The RTX 5060 TI and 5060 are scheduled for March, but with the release of RTX 5070 having been confirmed for the beginning of the month, it is able to arrive further later.

So it is difficult to wait any comment from Nvidia about a RTX 5050 happening anytime soon – if the GPU will exist.
