Zen 6, next generation of AMD Ryzen, receives “preliminary support” at AIDA64

The AIDA64 diagnostic software has gained a new version still in beta this week. One of the main highlights in its news, however, is not so much to do with the software itself, but with the future of AMD processors. Next generation products, Zen 6 -based, now have “preliminary support” in the app.

The information was observed and shared by HXL (@9550Pro), well known for its correct leaks of the hardware world. This time, however, we do not have a leakage or rumor – the new AIDA64 beta “Preliminary Support for the next generation AMD processors for desktop, server and mobile”.

Early support does not mean early release for Zen 6

Both Tom’s hardware and techpowerup people point out that Aida64 has a tendency to list new products well before their launches. Thus, the “preliminary support” to the Zen 6 generation AMD processors does not mean that its release or ad will be close.

In fact, AIDA64 usually brings this type of update around a year before official advertisements for new products. Thus, news is expected for AMD’s future Ryzen-possibly the Ryzen 10000-on Computex 2026.

AMD Medusa on the way

Currently, the next generation of AMD Ryzen processors is known for its conditions: Medusa Ridge for Desktop and Medusa Point for notebooks and mobile.

That is, probably components known as Medusa Ridge should become the Ryzen 10000 for PCs if AMD does not change their nomenclature scheme. Meanwhile, the Medusa Point should adopt Ryzen there.

However, Zen 6 -based Point Point should still take time to receive an official announcement, as we have very concrete rumors that AMD intends to release a Refresh for the Strix Point, its current Ryzen Ai 300 line, Zen 5 -based.

The leakage of an AMD presentation points out that the company prepares a line of code name Gorgon Point, which will bring a more advanced NPUS refresh for its current notebook processors.
