Users of Reddit mention that when using tools like uBlock Origin, a black segment replaces the ad and usually appears at the beginning of the video, lasting between six and 20 seconds with no option to skip. This issue has been noted in browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Vivaldi, indicating that it is not specific to a single browser.

Did YouTube do this on purpose?

So far, the only solution seems to be to watch YouTube without an ad blocker. This could indicate another move by the platform against such tools, although there is no official confirmation.

Could this be a bug or temporary glitch? Yes, but incidents involving ad blocker users are becoming more common. In May, There have been reports of videos being shut down for those using blockers. In June, YouTube began to test ads inserted directly into videostargeting those who use adblockers.
