Xbox Series X white and 2TB edition coming in October

Microsoft has announced that three versions of its Xbox Series will be made available to the public in October: the white Xbox Series X (without a disc drive), the Xbox Series X “Galaxy Black” (with a 2TB SSD of storage) and the Xbox Series S with a 1TB SSD.

The three models will arrive in the United States on October 15, 2024, while in other territories they will be released from October 29, 2024. Despite announcing that it “will be available in all current territories and markets that Xbox supports on hardware”, it will not be released in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

According to Microsoft, these are the suggested prices that will be practiced in the US for each: Xbox Series X white without reader, $449.99; Xbox Series X with 2TB SSD, $599.99 and the Xbox Series S with 1TB SSD, $349.99.

It is worth noting that, despite rumors suggesting that the manufacturer would apply improvements to the heat sink of the white Xbox Series X, no other changes other than the removal of the disc reader were disclosed within the announcement.

As it will not be officially available in Brazil, it is notable that Microsoft has not revealed what the suggested prices of its new Xbox Series models will be here in our country – nor has it made its pre-sale available.

Microsoft’s strategy of bringing out new models of its Xbox Series, taking advantage of the arrival of the holiday season, is clear. The proposal is to give players more options to enjoy the experiences that will arrive between October and December.

In this last quarter of 2024 we will see the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and one of its main attractions: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – which arrives in 2024 on the platform and in 2025 will be available on PlayStation 5.
