The new feature was identified in version 2.24.22.13 of WhatsApp beta for Android, as reported by the specialized website WABetaInfo. Although it is not yet available to test program participants, the application code already reveals details about this functionality.

With the implementation of this feature, users will have the option to “Add to sticker pack” when tapping on a specific sticker. This simple action will allow you to create themed collections or collections based on personal preferences.

Personalization goes beyond simple organization. Users will be able to name their collections, thus creating a sticker library that is easy to browse and share. This functionality promises to eliminate the need for third-party applications to manage and distribute sticker packs.

One of the most promising features of this update is the ease of sharing. The created collections can be sent directly in a conversation, using the selector menu. This means that sharing an entire set of stickers will be as simple as uploading a single image.

Gradual Evolution of Stickers on WhatsApp

The path of stickers on WhatsApp has been one of constant, albeit gradual, evolution. Launched in 2018, the feature has received significant updates over the years. Recently, the application introduced the ability to select multiple stickers simultaneously, allowing mass actions such as moving to the top of the list or deleting.

Native sticker creation, a long-awaited feature, finally arrived on WhatsApp Web in 2021 and on smartphones in early 2024. This addition eliminated the need for external apps for basic sticker creation, simplifying the process for many users.
