Western Digital launches 6TB 2.5-inch external HDD in Brazil

Western Digital has revealed that its 6TB WD Elements HDD has officially arrived in Brazil, bringing its largest capacity 2.5-inch portable storage unit in its entire catalog.

According to the manufacturer, purchasing the product in Brazil provides consumers with a two-year limited warranty. For now, the product is only available for sale through the Kabum! store at the suggested price of R$1,299.

Western Digital points out that the arrival of the 6TB WD Elements HDD in Brazil has the main purpose of meeting the demand for hardware with larger and more robust capacities – seeking to preserve essential files and information.

According to the specifications, it has compatibility with USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 3.0 devices, in addition to having a plug-and-play nature – not requiring power like most desktop hard drives.

In addition, Western Digital also claims that its material is produced with an environmentally friendly bias – with 50% of it made from post-consumer recycled plastic. Its packaging also contains 50% recycled cellulose and can be recycled later.
