The rumors were confirmed and Dell announced two new notebooks in the XPS line during CES 2026, resuming the brand. The company announced the launch of two new notebooks: the XPS 16 and the XPS 14.

A preview of the XPS 13 was also shown, which will be launched later this year with the thinnest and lightest design in the XPS line to date. Finally, the company admitted that it made a huge mistake by ending the series and changing the nomenclature.

Settings

The Dell XPS 16 and Dell XPS 14 are 16″ and 14″ models, respectively. Both will be available in four CPU configurationsall with the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake” processors.

The Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 7 355, Core Ultra X7 358H and Core Ultra X9 388H were listed for these notebooks, offering up to 16 cores, clocks of 5.1 GHz, 18 MB cache and 12 iGPU Xe3 cores. The configuration with the X9 388H will be available after launch.

The information is that the XPS 16 will operate at 25 W in Optimized mode and 35 W in Performance mode, while the XPS 14 will operate at 19 W in Optimized mode and 27 W in Performance mode. Both will operate at 65W at their maximum turbo performance.

Cooling is done via a dual fan configuration, which is 61% larger and 36% quieter.

These chips also feature up to 50 TOPS of NPU and will be equipped with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of LPDDR5x memory configured with speeds of 7467 to 9600 MT/s. Storage options include 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and up to 4TB (SSD Gen4), with support for Gen5 SSDs as well.

Other settings

For the display, the Dell XPS 16 will have a 2K (1200p) panel with a 1-120Hz refresh rate or a 16-inch 3.2K (2000p) panel with a 20-120Hz refresh rate. The 3.2K panel offers VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The 2K panels are LCD, while the 2.8K/3.2K panels are OLED.

I/O options on both laptops include Wi-Fi 7 (BE211 2×2) and Bluetooth 6.0, 3 Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports (DP 2.1 and PD), 2 built-in digital microphones, touchscreen (optional), full-size backlit keyboard, glass touchpad with haptic feedback, and 8 MP/4K HDR webcam.

Both also have a four-speaker system with 2x 3W main channels + 2x 2W tweeter channels (total maximum power 10W). And both have a 70 Wh battery with 900ED cells and come with a 100 W Type-C AC adapter.

Price and availability

The Dell XPS 16 will start at US$2,199.99 (R$11,898.21), while the XPS 14 will start at US$2,049.99 (R$11,086.96). Availability is scheduled for today, January 6th and more input configurations will be available by February 2026.

Color options will include Graphite and Glossy and the XPS 14 will also come with Ubuntu 24.04 pre-installed later this year.

In addition to the XPS 16 and XPS 14, Dell is also further expanding the XPS portfolio with new options like the new XPS 13. It will be the thinnest and lightest XPS notebook ever at less than 13mm thick, offering the same Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.

The launch is scheduled for the end of this year.

For the Brazilian market, two XPS 13 models are available, but with Intel Core Ultra Series 2, that is, this is an older release. The news has not yet been made available.
