The operator Vivo announced this Monday (02/09) a partnership with Amazonoffering Amazon Prime e Prime Video free of charge for customers of various services, according to exclusive information from Technoblog. Offer starts today and is valid for up to 12 months.

The benefit is a courtesy and, after the promotional period, Amazon Prime returns to the normal price of R$19.90. Amazon’s premium service includes free and fast delivery, discounts, access to Prime Video streaming, music on Amazon Music, as well as books and magazines on Prime Reading.
The plans that will have 12 months of free Amazon Prime are:
- I Live After Family
- Live Post Selfie
- Live Fiber
- Totally alive
All customers of these plans have access to Prime, regardless of the speed of the broadband contracted. Vivo Controle customers receive the benefit for six months. There is no news for Vivo Easy users.
Vivo seeks to become a content hub
Dante Compagno, Vivo’s B2C executive director, says the company seeks to offer the best content and service options through strategic partnerships. He points out that Vivo was the first to sell Prime in Brazil in 2020.
Daniel Mazini, president of Amazon, highlights that the free period will allow customers to take advantage of the shopping, savings and entertainment benefits available to more than 200 million global members.
Current Vivo customers can also access Prime for free. A special page with details of the Vivo + Amazon partnership is now available.
Other operators are also looking to become content hubs. Claro includes streams such as Globoplay and Max at no extra cost on your Claro TV+, and offers plans with Netflix on the invoice. TIM provides a Max subscription in some TIM Ultrafibra plans.
