This semester stood out with the main releases of the GPUS business triad.
The one who started in front was Intel, who burned, anticipated and launched the Arc Battlemage line last year with Intel Arc B580 (13/12/24) and ARC B570 (16/01), taking advantage of the interval between generations of AMD and Nvidia.
Following, Nvidia brought its new Blackwell architecture through its new RTX 50 line, with Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 (01/30), RTX 5070 Ti (02/20) and 5070 (04/03), finishing with RTX 5060 Ti (16/04) and 5060 (19/04).
AMD presented its new RDNA 4 graphic chip, with the new line of AMD Radeon RX 90 video cards with RX 9070 and 9070 XT (06/03), in addition to its latest integral, the RX 9060 XT 8GB and 9060 XT 16GB (06/06). AMD has abandoned the top line segment without bringing competitors to RTX 5080 and 5090.
Previous line models are still relevant, such as the RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT, and especially in the entrance lines, with RTX 3050 and RX 7600 serving consumers who do not want to spend $ 2 thousand or more.
Time to update our video card recommendations, using price and performance of products available on the market
As always, we will use the comparative price chart for general to understand the cost progression of these plates, as well as comparing the value of different products. Let’s use the cost data from 01/01, until 06/10.
It is good to note that sometimes they will find some signs with bizarrely high prices, this is caused by registration errors, products that are in the end of stock or are only a blow, so just ignore the abnormal peaks.
You can use this chart below, and once again we thank Edno Silva’s excellent work at PC Build Wizard (@pcbuildwizard), which made it possible to generate this content:
We also have our price segment chart, with the same time cut:
And our newest graphics, the price for FPS! We use nine games to find the average amount of FPS of the plates in three different resolutions, Full HD, Quad HD and 4K. Let’s use the graphs by resolution as the article is citing plates that work well in each of them, below you find the general chart:
No more introductions and descriptions of methodology, it’s time to start talking about our recommendations!
Video card up to R $ 1 thousand
From the thousand reais the “recommendations”They are scarce, usually being very old generations input models. So much so that we would not even approach signs with this price range, but as we found valid to give due recognition to the guerreirinha sign, here we are.
Being a complicated segment for offering little to today’s requirements, they appear here because a lot of people don’t have so much money to invest in something better. On the other hand, some of these products perform lower than the integrated chart of some processors.
In blue, we have integrated charts that surpass with some comfort some cheap plates that can barely stand out in performance. So, perhaps, it is best to buy a PC with one of these integrated charts, until you are able to raise more money and buy a sign in a higher performance segment.
But if you can get something, the RX 580 can still run some lighter games or low adjustments to the charts. We have a 2023 gameplay showing the gameplay of some of these models, check it out!
Video card between R $ 1 thousand and 1,500

Certainly, one of the most complicated segments of this year’s guide, as many products can deceive by name and, unfortunately, deliver low performances.
Some examples include the A380, which had GTX 1050 IT performance in some tests, in our analysis with it. It has the RTX 3050 6GB, but beware, despite the same name, the RTX 3050 8GB is 34% more powerful. Using reference the techpowerup database, 3050 6GB is worse than Radeon RX 580, but costing more than double.
And even going to the RX 6500 XT 8GB that would run more things, the truth is that you have more budget to show things, so come on.
Plates between R $ 1.5 and 2 thousand

The reference plate follows the RX 6600 to start playing. This plate sends virtually any game at 1080p and, from the first time we recommend it in a guide to this one here in 2025, the graphic quality you can configure has been falling.
Now we have more recent and heavier releases that will need to be run in average quality, but you can still play with a nice quality and acceptable performance in virtually any game. Here is the time to consider its successor, Radeon RX 7600 has appeared for a price near hers.
Using the chart above, we see that the price just above, but with a good performance gain, makes the RX 7600 more efficient in the cost ratio per frame. In practice, it is 15% to 50% in ray tracing games.
Plates between R $ 2 and 3 thousand

If there are conditions to reach this budget, the products are good. Returning to the average performance chart, we now arrive at the plates capable of overcoming that level of 100fps average that I estimate it is necessary to look for high quality and ultra in all games.
Until the $ 2500, it has as highlights RTX 4060 and ARC B580, but we do not indicate either. The RTX 4060 is almost always costing near RTX 5060 and, in this case, it is worth going to the current model.
Already the B580, often costs too close to RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT, plates that have already been commented on video of the channel, in a battle between these three models, the Radeon and Geforce plates do better than her. But keep an eye on: around and up to time it appears costing much less, and then ARC B580 can be a great deal.
Now at $ 2500 we have two very strong competitors to be their upgrades. Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB and RTX 5060 have already gained a video dedicated to them just, but they are certainly very relevant models for guys to keep an eye out. If it is among them, it checks out our Battle Video between the two.
Both exceed 100fps medium in 1080p, and are the first to deliver this quality.
But it has a concern here: memory. Both plates have 8GB of Vram, a configuration that can be insufficient in the short and medium term, and may be challenging to run some current games in this amount of memory.
Plates between R $ 3 thousand and 5 thousand

Here at R $ 3,000 comes the RX 9060 XT, a plate capable of accounting for 1080p on Ultra and many games in 1440p in high configuration, and without fear of missing Vram thanks to the 16GB equipped here.
Here we are also leaving Full HD territory and starting to enter the plates with performance and video memory for Quad HD.
The RTX 5060 Ti is the first to exceed 100fps average in our tests in the Quad HD Ultra configuration, so it’s the first sign to step on this territory. She is also appearing with a good relationship between cost and performance.
But beware, our tests were done with 16GB RTX 5060 Ti. We do not have the performance of this 8GB board, but we advance, we do not recommend buying this board with this amount of memory.
We have two older rayons stand out here too. Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT, with good performance and good cost pro for frame. But we do not recommend them, preferring to focus on buying Radeon 9000 Radeon boards.
The Radeon 7000 has good performance for our current test battery, but goes bad for games that use a lot of technologies like Ray Tracing, which should be increasingly incorporated. An example is the F1 2024, where the cheaper RX 9060 XT gives more performance than the RX 7700 XT.
The RX 7000 series does not gain access to FSR 4 by technical limitations. It was not unwilling to do AMD, but these plates were not designed to accelerate IF efficiently as the 9000 series can, which makes them not perform upscaling fast enough.
This is the equivalent between those who bought a GTX 1660 or an RTX 2060, a few years ago. If you bought RTX, you had access to DLSS UPSCaling, which is an excellent technology that has been updated to this day. The GTX 1660 did not have. FSR 4 will fall into a very similar situation and will only be available in the Radeon 9000 forward series.
So although data shows strong performance over cost, this is the moment we bring these other external factors not to indicate these signs. If you don’t care about these technologies, gross performance and older games, yes, they are powerful. But in the long run, I don’t find good acquisitions.
R $ 5,000 Plates up

Now we arrive at the territory of more enthusiastic products, and have two of the best nominations here. Two of the best cost cards by FPS in Full HD are in this price segment, and are the GeForce RTX 5070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT.
When we look at the average performance chart, the RTX 5070 exceeds 100fps well in 1440p, showing that it is a plate to deliver high quality and good frame rate in this resolution, while the RX 9070 XT simply kneads this setting with an average of 168fps.
So if you want to play with Quad HD clearance, the RTX 5070 is our recommendation, if you want even more performance and you can spend more, the next indication is to go with the RX 9070 XT, the board that is currently the main recommendation by approaching the enthusiast segment.
In 4K territory, the RX 9070 XT passes by scraping in our ours to reach 100fps of average in our 9 tests. Remembering that we are using 100fps because the battery consists of light and heavy games, unfortunately, will not reach 100fps in heavy games.
But, really, if it is to exceed 100fps average at 4K, or a very high rate in 1440p, that’s where plates like RTX 5070 Ti, 5080 and 5090 enter.
But when looking at the cost ratio by frame and we see RTX 5070 Ti if less worsebut is still significantly more expensive than the RX 9070 XT. Perhaps it is more valid just download from ultra to top and go with Radeon.
And the RTX 5080 and 5090 have a horrible cost and performance ratio. And it’s easy to understand if we alternate between the performance chart and the price. These two plates deliver the maximum level of performance!
But none of this comes close to the curve that the price makes, which is much larger. So the logic of these plates is simple: if when you look at the factors performance and price, you care a lot about the performance factor, and the price factor is no problem, this is the only time these products are justified.
Given to prices, the previous segment would be ideal for those looking for high performance without having to spend the price of a used car.
So we closed another guide to choose video cards. As is already tradition, now let’s go to the processor guide, doing this same analysis with the CPUs of the market, and finally the recommendation of complete machines.
