ASRock has been trying to position its Z890 Taichi OCF board as the best option for overclockers, and now it has just gained a strong new argument. While enthusiasts are looking for ever-increasing clock numbers for DDR5 memories, driven by the relatively recent CUDIMM technology, a performance that already seemed surpassed steals the spotlight again.
Nick Shih achieved more than 10,000MT/s on his V-Color Manta XFinity RGB CUDIMM-DDR5 modules, installed on an ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF. It’s not the most impressive number in the world, as the HWBot already registers 12,666MT/s in a Splave record. However, the conditions under which the number was reached are the important part.
The highest memory performance numbers use advanced cooling solutions, including LN2 (liquid nitrogen) in most cases. Nick Shih, however, managed 10,133MT/s using ambient air cooling, in a much more reproducible configuration for practical use at home.
Details show that the memory kit had a capacity of 48GB, with two modules of 24GB each. Being a Z890 board, the processor was an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, as would be expected. The CPU was on liquid cooling.

In terms of CUDIMM-DDR5 overclocking, ASRock has indeed managed to establish its high-end Z890 card as the flashiest option. Nick Shih’s new feat also highlights the model’s capabilities in ambient cooling conditions.
In the HWBot ranking, the first four positions were obtained at Taichi OCF. Two of the overclockers openly disclose their partnerships with ASRock on their profile, showing that the company has actually invested in the practice to promote itself.
