The US decided to explore the subject of artificial intelligence and servers capable of improving its use, calling several tech companies to a meeting within the government. Among those present were the main names from NVIDIA, Microsoft, Google and OpenAI.

The topic of the meeting was the development of these data centers, which brought to the same “event” executives such as Jensen Huang, Ruth Porat, Sam Altman and Brad Smith. It also included the CEO of Anthropic, Dario Amodei and the head of Amazon’s cloud division, Matt Garman.

AI Servers in the USA

It is already common knowledge that the energy consumption of artificial intelligence is one of the main concerns, with NVIDIA, OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Amazon and several others recently highlighting this issue – with the US also looking at the issue.

Companies like OpenAI are building gigantic AI clusters, which require not only a large supply of energy, but financial resources to support their use throughout the process of producing the servers and executing their AI functions.

Microsoft and OpenAI recently announced plans to build a $100 billion supercomputer—powered by nuclear energy. This is just one example to illustrate the scale that AI consumption is demanding today.

Obviously, the US is keeping an eye on the transformative potential that AIs carry, placing the topic within one of its technological agendas to keep companies feeding the sector from within its territory.
