TSMC can reach impressive 75% of the chip market as early as 2026

Those who follow the news from the hardware world know that TSMC already dominates the semiconductor manufacturing market around the world. With the arrival of its 2NM process, the company is positioned to further expand its slice in the segment, reaching 75% next year.

The information comes from Digitimes, and seems to be a projection based on estimates of market analysts. TSMC has been receiving orders for its 2NM process since early April, and apparently the advances in technology have been very positive.

Recent information indicates a 60% income while technology approaches mass production. These are numbers that can improve as products are sent, but they are already in front of their competitors, such as Samsung.

TSMC currently dominates the global chip manufacturing market, with a slice of 70%. Thus, growth to 75% in just one year would be really significant.

Process Price N2 does not hold tsmc advance

TSMC’s most current commercially available process had a price turn over previous generations. Estimates point out that N2 technology, for 2nm manufacturing, can cost up to $ 30,000 per wafer, and Digitimes reiterates this forecast.
