Thunderobot introduced the new mini PC STATION during CES 2026 last week. It uses a cube-shaped chassis in matte black, with a declared volume of approximately 3 liters.
The system is based on the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. It is the top-of-the-line Strix Halo APU, with 16 Zen 5 cores and integrated Radeon 8060S graphics card.
It had a similar design to the Steam Machine. And, to get an idea of performance, Notebook Check tests reveal that this Radeon iGPU is close to the performance of the Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU for notebooks. And that makes this mini PC more efficient than the Steam Machine (at least, in theory).
And, of course, price will be another determining factor for comparison.

Thunderobot says the chip’s AI acceleration hardware is intended for workloads like local model inference and some training tasks. Therefore, it is expected to have a large memory capacity.
Unfortunately, no public mention was found about the exact amount of memory this system has.
Thunderobot highlights the easily accessible I/O ports on the front, including USB and an SD card reader. At the rear, the company expects a standard set of ports for displays and peripherals, including USB 3.2 and HDMI.
There are no photos showing the integrated cooling solution, but from what you can see, there is a large air intake at the top and a huge grille with air vents at the back. It wouldn’t be a surprise if this system had a single large fan inside.
So far, the company has not released the price or launch date. However, there are expectations that Thunderobot Station will be launched soon in China. The bad news is that it’s not yet clear whether the mini PC will have widespread global availabilityafter all, most of Thunderobot’s products are not offered on the international market.
