Sources of Reuters indicates that an official announcement about the agreement could take place in the coming weeks. If completed, the acquisition would integrate Kadokawa into Sony’s entertainment portfolio, with the possibility of PlayStation Studios incorporate FromSoftware’s professionals and intellectual properties (IPs). This expansion would represent an important step for Sony in terms of diversifying its portfolio.
FromSoftware and other studios under Kadokawa
In addition to Elden Ring e Dark SoulsFromSoftware is also responsible for other successful titles such as Bloodborne, Axe: Shadows Die Twice e Demon’s Souls.
