Sharkoon expands its Rebel line of Atx 3.1 sources with more affordable options

Sharkoon announced this week new Rebel P10 sources, in ATX 3.1 format, expanded its Rebel series that has appeared in November last year. The latest options aim at an input and intermediate segment, bringing smaller capabilities, but still with energy efficiency Cybenetics seals.

Following Corsair’s movement, Sharkoon also seems to be moving away from the traditional 80 Plus seal to certify the energy efficiency of its sources, in favor of cybenetics tests, which would be more accurate. Almost all Rebel P10 have the Cybenetics Silver seal, and only one of them got a bronze seal.

The skills of the new Sharkoon PSUs are 850W, 750W, 650W and 550W. The Cybenetics Bronze seal model is the 650W option with 115V voltage – the 230W version still got the Silver seal.

Sharkoon also highlights the active cooling of its Rebel P10 line. The sources accompany 120mm fan with “Sleeve” type bearing, which involves the use of a low friction part around the axis. This helps in a more effective and silent operation of the fan.

The new Sharkoon PSUs measure 140 x 150 x 86mm. They use flattened cables and promise at least 100,000 hours of use in their durability. They also include the most common protections of the segment, such as OCP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OTP and OPP. Unlike the Rebel P20 blank models, the P10 line was announced only in black.

Sharkoon released the suggested prices for Europe:

• Rebel P10 de 850W: € 79,90 (R$ 495,16)
• Rebel P10 de 750W: € 67,90 (R$ 420,80)
• Rebel P10 de 650W: € 59,90 (R$ 371,22)
• Rebel P10 de 550W: € 54,90 (R$ 340,23)

Sharkoon already sells its new sources abroad, but we still do not have a forecast for the availability of the line here in Brazil.
