Sapphire has released its Nitro+ X870EA motherboards and RX 9070 XT Nitro+ graphics card with PhantomLink connectors. They had already been revealed at Computex 2025, where the company revealed the PhantomLink line, made up of new AM5 motherboards and RDNA 4 GPUs.
This is the first “BTF connector design”, featuring PhantomLink X870E Nitro+ motherboards and RX 9070 XT Nitro+ graphics cards. PhantomLink BTF connectors, which operate on the 12V-2×6 standard, provide continuous power to video cards without the need for a 16-pin connector cable.
This gives users peace of mind as they do not have to worry about incorrect connections or kinks that can cause permanent damage when using a standard 16-pin cable.

Sapphire X870EA Nitro+ PhantomLink motherboards are available in white (“Polar Edition”) and black, being based on the AM5 socket and using the X870E chipset. They adopt a 16+2+1 (90A) power system and support CPUs with TDP of up to 250W.
Memory support is 8400 MT/s (OC+) and up to 256 GB, with four M.2 slots compatible with Gen5 and Gen4 protocols. In them, each M.2 slot is ideally positioned, with the top slot being easy to remove.
The top heatsink, next to the I/O covers, has ARGB LEDs, and Sapphire has also added useful Power and Reset buttons, as well as a debug LED. Other features include 40Gbps USB Type-C ports, 20Gbps USB Type-C with Power Delivery, Wi-Fi 7, and 5Gbps LAN.
The main highlight of these motherboards is the new PhantomLink connector, capable of delivering more than 800 W of power to compatible GPUs. Sapphire claims that the GC HPWR connector is not only compatible with its own PhantomLink cards, but also other GC HPWR designs, such as those from ASUS and Colorful.
As for the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ PhantomLink, it is also now available. This graphics card has a custom PCB and allows boost frequencies of up to 3060 MHz. The GPU uses PTM7950 thermal paste and the same three-slot, three-fan solution, offering excellent cooling.
So far, the product listing is only for China, with no global availability expected.
