Samsung is considering launching a new brand for its high-end cell phones, according to information from the South Korean website E-Today. The proposal is to create a family of devices that differentiates itself from the Galaxy line, which is currently the company’s most recognized.

The objective of this new brand would be to highlight the flagships, making them more distinct from other Samsung devices. Furthermore, this change would symbolize a significant “innovation turn” for the company.
The president of Samsung DX’s global marketing center, Lee Young-hee, stated at the beginning of the year that new names need to represent important transformations, although she did not confirm that this strategy is under discussion.
The Galaxy brand is currently present on several Samsung products, including the entire line of cell phones. Introducing a new brand could help highlight specific devices, making it easier to communicate with the public. Today, anyone with a Samsung cell phone can claim to have a “Galaxy”, be it a more affordable model like the Galaxy A05 or a premium model like the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The possible names for this new brand have not yet been released and will likely be kept confidential until an eventual announcement. However, as these are rumors about internal discussions, it is possible that the idea will not come to fruition.
