According to the Android Headlinesthe partnership with the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport allows the use of government drone delivery infrastructure, including landing and takeoff zones. The project also integrates control systems from the Drone Demonstration City Design and Construction.

Samsung indicates that this delivery method can reduce the delivery time, which is currently one week, to just one day, depending on the location, in addition to enriching the customer experience by eliminating the need to travel to the store.

A company spokesperson highlighted:

“The drone delivery service is a new attempt to bring a faster and more convenient Galaxy experience to consumers in island areas. As a company leading the AI ​​era, we will continue to develop new technologies and services to enhance the convenience and rights of consumers.”

The first tests were carried out on Jeju Island in June, with packages weighing up to 10kg. Given the initial success, Samsung plans to extend the service to more regions starting July 19. There is no information yet on whether this strategy will be implemented in other markets.
