This week, Samsung presented the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, its new notebook with a 3.8 GHz Snapdragon X Elite chipset and a focus on Artificial Intelligence. The model is Microsoft Copilot+ PC certified and has a powerful NPU with 45 TOPS of performance.
The Galaxy Book 4 Edge will hit the market in June, with a screen AMOLED with 120 Hz refresh rate. Notebook will be available in two sizes: 14 inches and 16 inches (Pro version). Both use the Snapdragon X Elite chip with 12 CPU cores, have an Adreno GPU and NPU (Neural Processing Unit), dedicated to performing AI processing tasks.

Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC certification is a seal that guarantees the notebook’s excellence when it comes to AI workloads. From the dedicated NPU and the MS seal, we can clearly see that the focus of the Galaxy Book Edge 4 will be on AI features.
Furthermore, the AMOLED screen is a touchscreen with 3K resolution. Notebook has two USB 4.0 inputs, HDMI 2.1 and 3.5 mm input for headphones and headsets. The 16-inch Edge Pro model has an extra USB Type-A port and also a microSD card slot.
When it comes to battery life, the 14-inch and 16-inch versions will have slightly different batteries. The 14” version has a 55.9 Wh battery and the 16′” version comes with a 61.8 Wh battery. However, both will have 65 W fast charging. Finally, the notebooks have Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
It is important to highlight: Samsung reported on the official website that the processor 3.8 GHz Snapdragon X Elite will be available on Galaxy Book 4 Edge in select markets. In other words, the processor will not be present with this maximum frequency in all markets.
Price and availability
The Galaxy book Edge 4 is now available for pre-order at the official Samsung store. The note of 14” will cost US$1,344.99 (R$6,860 in direct conversion). The 16” Pro version is now out for $1,449 (R$7,396 in direct conversion).
For now, the Samsung did not reveal the official price of the product in Brazil. In the United States, shipping of notebooks begins on June 18, 2024. Within the next few months, the South Korean manufacturer should provide more details on prices in other countries.
