One of the most anticipated (and most leaked) announcements at CES 2026 was the confirmation of the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, a new version of the most popular processor with 3D V-Cache of AMD’s current generation. The official announcement of the product came, but without a launch date or price. Now a new leak indicates at least when we can expect the product.
VideoCardz claims to have obtained information that would be from AMD itself and reveals when we can expect the Ryzen 7 9850X3D to debut. According to the website, the new processor starts to hit shelves on January 29th, something that had already appeared in previous leaks, so it seems like a really correct date.
Not only that, but we are also promised that the embargo on reviews drops the day before. In other words, on January 28th, two weeks from now, we will have the publication of the first analyzes of the new CPU by the specialized media. The website says that AMD is already sending units for this purpose.
We still don’t know the price of the Ryzen 7 9850X3D
The leak unfortunately does not include a possible price for the new AMD processor, but it does bring the interesting information that pre-orders for the product will not be allowed.
VideoCardz recalls that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D was launched in the US for US$479, and expects a similar price for the Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Since AMD intends to continue selling the previous model, a price cut is expected for it, offering customers more CPU options.
It is worth mentioning that the new information is not accompanied by a mention of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, so we must continue without official confirmation or a prediction for AMD’s first processor with dual 3D V-Cache.
