The Ryzen Z2 Extreme is expected to make its debut soon on different devices – including MSI Claw A8 is one of the most drawing attention to the product. No wonder it was precisely this handheld used in an unofficial performance test for the new processor, which now circulates on the internet.

All type leak should be treated as a rumor and observed with a certain skepticism. If the numbers that appear for the Ryzen Z2 Extreme in Geekbench prove true, we are seeing a very interesting evolution for AMD new generation of portable devices.

As shown in the image above, the new processor’s CPU tests resulted in 2,748 for single-core and 12,182 for multi-core. They are 26% and 27% higher values, respectively than the previous generation, the Extreme Z1. Not only that, the numbers are very close to notebook -oriented processors, such as 10 -core Ryzen AI 9 365:

Ryzen Z2 Extreme integrated GPU tests are promising, as expected

The Ryzen Z2 Extreme incorporates a Radeon 890m GPU for integrated charts. It is the same that appears in other mobile processors, so the results are within an expected average.

Still, the numbers are very positive for a more compact handheld processor even than notebooks, and with even smaller TDP.

Speaking of TDP, the Ryzen Z2 Extreme will operate between 15W and 35W, and we don’t know the tension used for these tests. It is very likely that it is the maximum to get numbers of this level.

Finally, it is worth remembering that Z2 Extreme will have a slightly differentiated version, the Ryzen Ai Z2 Extreme, which incorporates an NPU. This component will make its debut at Asus Rog Xbox Ally, which is so far the only handheld confirmed with APU.
