Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX leaks reveal performance and 20% higher price

The next processor at the top of AMD’s high performance line, the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX is expected to arrive later this July. This is why we already have leaks anticipating what we can expect not only from the processor’s performance, but also its price.

Starting with performance, Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX was listed on Geekbench. As shown in the capture below, the new AMD-filled CPU got 2,800 in single-core and 30,170 multi-core points.

For a CPU of 96 colors and 192 threads like 9995WX it is more interesting to compare the multi score. Regarding its predecessor, the ThreadRipper Pro 7995WX based on Zen 4, the new processor has achieved an improvement of 22% in this regard.

The number aligns with AMD promises, which estimates up to 26% more performance in its new generation of processors, also known as Shimada Peak. The Ryzen Threadripper appears with 2.5GHz base clock in the test, but the maximum frequency was recorded at 4,742MHz, and AMD officially promises Boost up to 5.4GHz, with 350W TDP.

Increased performance is reflected in the price increase for the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995wx

AMD’s new high-end processor already appears in some stores. Videocardz shows captures of the component listed at a European store and one from the US, costing € 12,300 ($ 78,552) and $ 12,793 ($ 69,756), respectively.

Currently Threadripper Pro 7995WX can be found for $ 10,678 ($ 58,225) in Amazon. That is, the increase of approximately 20% in performance is reflected in an increase close to 20% in price as well.
