AMD is expected to launch a new series of processors at CES 2025 aimed at budget devices, called Krackan Point. While the components have appeared in leaks, now we have the first time that one of them is listed under its commercial name, with PassMark listing the Ryzen AI 7 350 in its performance test.

This is not the first time this component has leaked in a benchmark. Last week a similar engineering sample had its results released on Geekbench. Now, however, the test lists this Krackan Point explicitly as Ryzen AI 7 350, in addition to revealing its TDP.

Running at a clock speed of 2.0GHz and boost up to 5.0GHz, the processor scores 3,919 in singles on PassMark. In multi the numbers rise to 21,127. Meanwhile, the rated TDP of the Ryzen AI 7 350 appears as 45W, with the option to configure as low as just 15W.

The performance test shows, once again, that this component from the Krackan Point series will come with 4 Zen 5 cores and 4 Zen 5c cores, in addition to using a Radeon 860M as an integrated GPU.

This time the Ryzen AI 7 350 lost to the 8845HS

In the Geekbench leak we had last week, the Ryzen AI 7 350 appeared to outperform the Ryzen 7 8845HS in both single and multi-core results. In PassMark, Krackan Point continues to outperform its predecessor in singles, but has a considerable drop in multi.

The comparison above also shows how the processor performs in relation to the Snapdragon X Elite and the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, placing itself between them in the results ranking.

So far, rumors speak of two SKUs for the debut of the Krackan Point line, with the Ryzen AI 7 350 being the most advanced model. It should be announced at CES 2025 alongside the Ryzen AI 5 340, which has six cores and a Radeon 840M as an iGPU. Both models use XDNA2 with up to 50TOPS, which could become their main selling point over Hawk Point components.
