The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has not yet received an official announcement, but it is considered almost certain due to the number of leaks in which it has appeared. And now we even have an estimate of its performance released in the PassMark synthetic test.
As shown in the synthetic test database, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D scores 4,632 in single-thread and reaches 41,480 points in multi-thread. The results are almost 5% better than what the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently capable of scoring.
The previous version of the X3D processor scores 4,425 in single and 39,963 in multi. In other words, the biggest difference is in single-thread, with the 9850X3D being 4.96% higher in leakage, while in multi-thread the difference is 4.69%.
The PassMark leak also confirms the 5.6GHz boost clock for the new processor, which has appeared in leaks. This 400MHz clock gain is expected to be the big difference between the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and the currently available 9800X3D.
AMD should present the Ryzen 7 9850X3D in a few weeks
Obviously, this type of leak does not create the ideal situation for a comparison between two processor models. We don’t know the exact conditions of the test and dedicated driver updates can always have a greater impact on the results. We can see the potential of the 9850X3D here, but more conclusive testing will only be possible after launch.

The good news is that the wait for this launch is over. It is expected that AMD will present the Ryzen 7 9850X3D – accompanied by the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 – during CES 2026, which takes place in a few weeks. The fair will be held between January 6th and 9th, and the company already has a keynote scheduled for the opening.
We also expect to see the Ryzen 9000G series, an AM5 desktop version of its AI 300 series APUs, at the event.
