An update of BIOS in motherboards with socket AM5 earlier this week caught the eye for mentioning support for an AMD “future CPU”. Now we have speculation that this future mysterious processor would be a Ryzen 7 9700f.
The information appeared in an interaction on social networks among well -known segment insiders. Hxl (@9550Pro) brings a post from the chiphell forum to mention that the “future CPU” would be a Ryzen F of the 9000 series. In response, Megasizegpu (@zed__wang) says it would be the Ryzen 7 9700f.
No more details are not informed about what to expect from the processor, nor did we have yet to prove that AMD really works in this CPU. However, based only on its possible name, we can already speculate a little about its specifications.
The 9000 Ryzen processor series are current AMD -based desktop components based on Zen 5, from codenamed granite Ridge. We already have the Ryzen 7 9700x, so it is to be expected to be similar, due to the name, for 9700F.
This would mean 8 nuclei with 16 threads, accompanied by 40MB of cache and TDP going to 65W. The 9700X Boost Clock goes up to 5.5GHz, but there is a good chance that this number will be different for 9700F.
What catches the most attention is the “f” of the nomenclature. This would be the determinant for the absence of integrated charts – an disabled IGPU, in fact. It is the measure to offer a more affordable variant of the processor.
Videocardz speculates a value between $ 250 and $ 300, which would place the Ryzen 7 9700f just below 9700x.

Rumors proving proving correctly or not, it must be missing little to have an official AMD announcement revealing what its “future CPU” would be. AGESA’s updates to the component were first spotted in MSI plates BIOS, but now they already reach other manufacturers, indicating a close launch for the product.
