No surprise that Nvidia does not yet want to give up selling more advanced GPUs than the RTX 5080 in China, but we don’t have many leaks on RTX 5090DD yet – what it might be to call the new RTX 5090 to the country. Now, however, we have unofficial information that the sign makes its debut in August.
It is interesting to remember that Nvidia started the Blackwell generation offering RTX 5090D in China, so as not to be barred by sanctions that prevent it from officially selling RTX 5090 in the country, due to its performance. The company followed the pattern that started with the RTX 4090D, offering a limited version of its top -of -the -line GPU to the Asian country.
However, increasing restrictions on electronic products that can be sent from the US to China seem to have reached RTX 5090D. Thus, Nvidia allegedly prepares a new version even more limited, currently known as RTX 5090DD.
New GPU RTX 50 for China may not be called RTX 5090DD?
Remember that the name RTX 5090DD gained popularity for the first time after a post from the famous megasizegpu “leak” called the plate that. The next day, another well -known insider, Kopite7kimi, also used the term to refer to the GPU.
We did not have a launch window in these first leaks, which now appears in the Benchlife Forum. Again, the plate is called RTX 5090DD, but the name comes with a warning that it would be “provisional.”

The supposed RTX 5090DD can have the same 21,760 RTX 5090 centers, accompanied by 24GB of memory to 384-bit, having its main limitation in this regard. TGP would be kept at 575W, according to Kopite7kimi’s post.
It is also interesting to remember that in this same post, the insider said we will have a “surprise” with the GPU, and so far there has been no tips on what it could be. Users played the price to be surprising, but at the moment follows the mystery.
