RTX 5090 with 32GB and RTX 5080 with 16GB also appear on Acer’s website

With just a few weeks left until the official announcement of NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series of GPUs, leaks have become more frequent and detailed for the products. Now, after Zotac listed the new models on its website, we have Acer also confirming the memory capacities of the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080.

The new graphics cards, which should mark the debut of the Blackwell series for PCs, were spotted as part of the Predator Orion 7000 line configurations. These are the complete computers that Acer sells for gamers, already available with RTX 40 series GPUs.

The people at VideoCardz discovered that the company’s page already lists the new version of its Predator Orion 7000 ahead of time, with RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs. As we can see in the screenshot above, the video cards appear respectively with 32GB and 16GB of memory.

The information aligns with what has already been leaked on the Zotac website. However, previously we could deduce from logic that the RTX 5090 will use 32GB, whereas now we see the card explicitly listed with that capacity.

At this point it’s hard to imagine that this type of leak is bringing misinformation, but a little skepticism in rumors and leaks is always good. If these specifications are confirmed, the second most powerful RTX 50 model will have half the memory of the most expensive option, the RTX 5090.

In both cases, GDDR7 components will be used, which leaves the RTX 5080 with the same memory configuration as the RTX 5070 Ti, apparently. The difference will be in the CUDA core count, with the RTX 5080 reaching 10,752, while 8,960 are expected for the 5070 Ti. The RTX 5090, in turn, would reach 21,760 cores.

Apparently, we will only have official information at the NVIDIA keynote, on January 6th, as part of CES 2025.
