The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 will be the most powerful graphics card at the launch of the next generation of NVIDIA GPUs. It should be one of the first to arrive, along with the RTX 5080, revealing the price range for the new products. And it seems that the increase in value will not be that significant, compared to the current RTX 4090.
The information comes from a prediction by @kopite7kimi, known on Twitter for a number of correct leaks in the hardware world. The speech came in response to a thread started by Anthony Garreffa, former senior editor at TweakTown.
As shown in the image above, Garreffa posted what would be “possible price ranges” for the RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070. He bases his information on the Moore Law Is Dead channel, which has an inconsistent track record of getting rumors and leaks right.
Insider kopite7kimi then responds “totally false”. Another user asks him his prediction, to which he responds: “I don’t believe there will be a significant price increase for the RTX 5090”.
The RTX 4090 launched in October 2022 for US$1,599. It’s hard to guess what the insider would consider “significant,” but perhaps then we won’t see such a different value for the top of the line Blackwell. The problem is that this GPU currently appears for prices above US$ 1,800 or US$ 1,900, so it also depends on the reference.
Insider only talks about the RTX 5090
While kopite7kimi calls all the prices in the leak “totally false”, he only makes his prediction based on the RTX 5090. This way, it gives the impression that both the RTX 5080 and 5070 could still see a more “significant” price increase. But at this point we only have speculations.

The folks at WCCFTech even categorically state that no valuable information for the series of Blackwell-based home GPUs was shared with NVIDIA partners. In other words, we are unlikely to see any correct leaks until the official reveal of the cards – which should take place in January.
