Reviews for 8GB 8GB versions of RTX 5060 TI finally began to appear, after Nvidia allegedly tried to hinder the dissemination of this content at the launch of the GPUs. And the performance tests with the most affordable version of 5060 Ti show what may have been the reason why it happens.
The Hardware Unboxed channel was precisely responsible for revealing that Nvidia would be preventing some of its AIB partners from sending copies from 8GB RTX 5060 TI to review. And they finally got a model, buying from their own pockets, to compare with the 16GB version.
The video tests above show a completely distant performance between the two plates. The average frame per second is much lower in many of the games tested, but it is in the 1% Low that the difference is more stark. In Horizon Forbidden West, where the sign had difficulty, the 16GB RTX 5060 Ti is 350% faster on average and 589% better in 1% low.

In its video review, the Unboxed hardware put it in the title that 8GB RTX 5060 TI would be “immediately obsolete.” Their positioning is that Nvidia has tried to “bury” product reviews, and that the company wants to force users to upgrade much faster than it would normally be needed. Aggravating the problem, it can be especially difficult to resell the 8GB RTX 5060 Ti, even in a space of just two years.
