Nvidia made yesterday, April 15, the announcement of its RTX 5060 video cards series, which includes IT models and non -TI for desktop and also a version for input GPU notebooks. The “mobile” option of 5060, however, was promised only for next month, May.
For years Nvidia has not officially differentiated the names of its versions for Desktop and GPUS notebooks, justifying the same level of performance in both variants. However, the specifications are not exactly the same.
The RTX 5060 for notebooks features 3,328 CUDA Core, 15% less than the 3,840 present in 5060 for Desktop PCs. In addition, TGP is also reduced, which would be expected for a mobile GPU that needs to take into account the autonomy of the device.

According to information from the manufacturer, the RTX 5060 Mobile has TGP between 45W and 100W in its default configuration. It is noteworthy that some notebook manufacturers have already confirmed to Videocardz that will implement up to 25W of Dynamic Boost, which can result in some models reaching up to 125W of TGP.
As we know, the RTX 5060 models are currently the entry options in the RTX 50 series, so their big attraction should be in price. Since the GPU notebook version is not sold out of a large way, Nvidia has promised that we will see complete devices starting at $ 1,099

This gives $ 6,487 in the current price, in direct conversion and without taking into account taxes that will focus on these products. It is $ 100 more than promised values for the past generation of notebooks with RTX 4060.

We already have rumors, however, that we will eventually have more affordable notebooks. Since last year there are leaks that Nvidia will also offer a RTX 5050 for portable devices, but this model has not yet been confirmed.
