The RTX 5050 starts to arrive this month on the shelves. With publicly available drivers, specialized websites are on your own account to get a GPU and review. And now we have one of the first appearing, from the Quasarzone website, from South Korea.
The publication had access to a colorful Igame RTX 5050 Ultra O White, which they analyzed linked to a computer with Ryzen 7 9800x3D and DDR5-6000 memory. These are components that guarantee not to offer a bottleneck to an input GPU like 5050.
Review has no very varied tests, but focuses on what users are probably more interested in seeing. For example, after Nvidia spread the plate showing only results with DLSS, Quasarzone only used the super resolution in one of its comparisons.

The table above shows a comparison average performance of the RTX 5050 in FullHD games without DLSS. The plate is a little behind the ARC B580, which has the same MSRP, and even more behind the RTX 4060.

Quasarzone tests show that the RTX 5050 operates at 130W, as well as RTX 4060, but delivers worse results. However, using overclocking, the new plate manages to overcome the previous generation:

Some game tests show the same trend in performance difference with a clock gain to 5050:

However, there is a voltage limiter for the GPU that prevents overclock from going further, at least for the model tested by the site.
More reviews should appear soon
Now that we have had a first review about the RTX 5050, it should not take long to appear more content. This will make it possible to make more informed comparisons between models and avoid hasty conclusions.

Taking into account only the contents of Quasarzone, it seems difficult to find a prominent niche for the new input video card. By MSRP, the B580 seems more attractive, while models with OC should come out a little more expensive, which already makes RTX 4060 potentially more interesting. However, limited stocks of the past model should help the younger sign find public.
