Nvidia will offer a new input model for its RTX 50 line in a few months, according to rumors. The company would be preparing an RTX 5050 for July, not only in the notebook version, but also for desktop PCs.
The information is not official, so it must be treated as such. Rumors originate in benchlife, which has a good history with leaks. In addition, Videocardz people say they have contacted their own sources and have confirmed that Nvidia will actually launch the RTX 5050 soon.
The RTX 5050 for notebooks appears in leaks for some time and is practically confirmed. Even NVIDIA partners like LG, Lenovo and Acer even listing devices using the GPU on their official sites. However, a possible variant for desktops does not appear as frequency, so it draws attention the possibility of the plate arrives in July.

RTX 5050 for PCs and notebooks arrive at the same time?
The RTX 5050 notebook version appears in leaks so long ago that it had its estimated release to April. As this was not the case, now there is an expectation that the GPU will have its release in both notebooks and for PC at the same time.

This can collaborate with Nvidia’s position that the difference between the desktop and notebook versions of their GPUS is so negligible that they don’t even need different names.

In the mini PCs segment, however, it can cause some confusion as most of them use video card notebook versions, but some try to stand out incorporating variants for desktop.
RTX 50 input still uses GDDR7?
Many of the initial rumors for RTX 5050 pointed out that Nvidia would adopt GDDR6 memories for the model, making the option of entry of the RTX 50 series more affordable. However, the listing of the first notebooks with the GPU on official websites indicates that the board will still use GDDR7.

Thus, it would be unlikely that the desktop version of the plate would come with GDDR6, but the rumors still indicate that this would be a possibility. It’s just in the latest benchlife post that the site says Nvidia would be considering adopting GDDR7 on RTX 5050 for desktops as well.
