As expected, Nvidia today launched the first notebooks equipped with the RTX 5050 Mobile. The arrival of the products finally confirms details of the specifications of the new input model in the Blackwell series of GPUS for household use.

It is interesting to start with memory, which has even had different information appearing in leaks. The RTX 5050 for Notebooks actually uses GDDR7, as well as the rest of the RTX 50. It comes with 8GB capacity and interface of 128-bit, resulting in a 384GB/s band, as well as the RTX 5060.

The plate has 2560 Cudda nuclei and, in its disclosure, Nvidia mentions 105W TGP. However, in one of the disclosures of the new GPU notebooks, benchmark results appear, showing the RTX 5050 reaching up to 115W:

The plate appears below the other RTX 50 of the line, as might be expected. A more interesting comparison would be with the last generation, so WCCFTECH mentions that the 5050 scores about 9% more than the RTX 4050 in the spy team and 27% more in Port Royal on average.

The RTX 5050 was revealed along with the first models of notebooks equipped with the GPU. And some of the brands released their prices together.

Asus has shown the most complete information for its new Tianxuan 6 Edition. The new notebook has been revealed with many Spec options beyond 5050, so it is easier to compare your prices.

Videocardz comments that notebooks with the new GPU should arrive here with values close to models with the RTX 4060, so in some cases it will probably be more advantageous to stay in the previous generation – unless the new product takes advantage of the best TGP potential of the RTX 5050.
