The ROG Ally is still one of the most successful mobile gaming devices in the world, and here in Brazil the device maintains its popularity, even if it is more controlled due to its high price. But the good news is that for those who were eyeing the laptop, ASUS revealed a price drop here.

This strategy is part of the preparation for the arrival of an even more powerful (and consequently more expensive) model here in Brazil, the ROG Ally X. In any case, it helps to make the original version model a little more accessible, which may be good news for many Brazilians.

Price reduction brings opportunity for gamers

The ROG Ally was launched in Brazil with a suggested price of R$6,999.99, which could be reduced to R$6,299.99 for payments via PIX. Since then, as expected, it was possible to get a small reduction in this price during times of promotions and discounts, such as Black Friday.

Still, it was only now with the price reduction made by ASUS that the device reached its lowest value recorded on the national market: R$5,499 or R$4,949.10 via PIX.

This is the new official price of the product, offered directly by ASUS Brazil, which means that the ROG Ally will also be able to gain more promotions both in the company’s store and in partner stores that carry out official resale safely and that offer more discount opportunities, which makes this moment especially attractive for those who were already eyeing the device.

In fact, this is a big advantage of the ROG Ally over its strong competitors here in Brazil, such as the Steam Deck. This is because the ROG Ally is officially sold by the company here, which means that there is a warranty and technical support offered by ASUS itself, which brings more confidence to the purchase, especially of a device with such a high price.

In the case of the Steam Deck, unfortunately it can currently only be found in Brazil through importers, and does not have official support from the manufacturer.

The arrival of ROG Ally X in Brazil

Regarding the most advanced model, ROG Ally X, there is still no set date announced for its arrival in Brazil, but everything indicates that this is very close to happening. In fact, on ASUS’s own official website, when searching for the device in the Americas section, countries such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Peru are marked as “coming soon”.

With Brasil Game Show 2024 (BGS), the largest gaming event in Latin America, approaching, it is possible that ASUS is planning to use the event as a stage to announce the arrival of the ROG Ally X in the country, or at least reveal details about its availability and price.
