Here comes another gaming phone to the Brazilian market. I’m talking about the recently announced REDMAGIC 9S Prowhich arrives to surpass its predecessor with cutting-edge hardware, features aimed at gamers and a design that attracts attention anywhere.
This new gaming phone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Versionuntil 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 storage of up to 512 GB. In the next paragraphs I will provide more details about this new feature.
Processor, cooling and battery
The combination of cutting-edge memory, the gaming-focused Red Core 2 Pro chip, and the high CPU and GPU frequencies of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, position the REDMAGIC 9S Pro at the top of the AnTuTu Benchmark with an impressive score of 23,669,542 — the highest ever achieved by an Android device.
Its ICE 13.5 cooling system has been improved to dissipate heat effectively, ensuring constant performance even in intense gaming sessions. The structure has 10 insulating layers which reduce the processor temperature by 19.5°C and increase cooling efficiency by 20%. In addition, the integrated fan is now quieter, optimizing air circulation inside the device.
In terms of battery, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro has a robust battery capacity 6.500 mAhcom autonomy of up to 56 hours according to the brand’s internal tests. With the technology of fast charging 80 Watts, time away from the outlet is minimized, giving you more freedom to play without worrying about cables.
Screen, cameras and gaming features
The REDMAGIC 9S Pro’s display is a panel BOE Q9 Plus 6.8 inches Full HD+flat, with very thin edges and no notches thanks to the front camera under the display. It offers a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and update rates 120Hz refresh rate and 2,000Hz touch response for fast gaming reactions.
In the photography sector, the device has two rear cameras with sensors developed by Samsung: a 50MP main GN4 and a 50MP ultrawide JN1. The 16MP front camera is in the fifth generation, with improvements to capture clearer, sharper selfies.
Gaming features include 520Hz backlit side triggers and high-powered linear speakers, now with Snapdragon Sound and DTS:XULTRA certification. The streamlined interface lets you customize buttons, touch sensitivity, and control RGB lighting.
The smartphone comes with Android 14 and the REDMAGIC 9.5 interface, in addition to offering Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and headphone jack.
How much does it cost?
The REDMAGIC 9S Pro can now be purchased in Brazil for R$ 4.899 in the 12 GB RAM version and R$ 5.899 on the 16 GB. The available colors and configurations are:
- Sleet (black) with 12GB + 256GB;
- Frost (white) with 12GB + 256GB;
- Cyclone (transparent black) with 16GB + 512GB;
- Snowfall (silver) with 16GB + 512GB.
