The console market is about to receive a new product that many have been waiting for: the PlayStation 5 Pro, or PS5 Pro. According to unofficial information, the new version of Sony’s console is expected to be released in late 2024, promising some changes and improvements that have generated a lot of anticipation among fans.

Renowned insider Billbil-kun, known for his advance information that is often confirmed before official announcements (especially in relation to games that will arrive in the PSN Plus catalog), this time brought interesting details about the PS5 Pro.
According to him, the new model will be revealed in September, as had already been suggested by Jeff Grubb, another well-known name in the field.
He also brought an image showing what the official design of the new PS5 Pro would look like, although for now it is nothing more than a rumor since it has not been confirmed by Sony. Still, given the proximity of the official reveal, it is very likely that this rumor will end up becoming real.
At first glance, it is possible to notice the similarity with the design of the Slim model, which the company launched recently. However, there are subtle differences. The first of these is that it will not have just one black stripe on the sides, but several, which sets it apart in terms of appearance.
Another difference that may go unnoticed is that the Pro model will have two USB-C ports on the front, in addition to the USB-A.
The new console will be officially presented as “PlayStation 5 Pro” and, apparently, will be available in a version without a physical disc drive, allowing only games and digital media to be played.
It is not yet known whether Sony will later release a version with the disc reader, but the most likely thing that will happen is that it can be purchased separately to be attached to the console, as is the case with the Slim model.
Another striking feature of the new model will be the white color as the only standard option. However, as with the other models, its covers are removable so that users can change to other color versions if they wish. Of course, to do this, you will need to buy the covers separately.
Official design reveal
According to Dealabs, the official reveal of the PS5 Pro will take place in the first half of September, that is, in the next two weeks. With this information, expectations are growing among gamers who are eagerly awaiting more details and official confirmation from Sony.
