The PS5 Pro is now available in some stores, a week before its official debut scheduled for November 7th. The Japanese website 4Gamer published images of the box and made a humorous analysis based on what can be seen.

One of the highlights is the “4K 120” seal, which shows that the console is prepared for 4K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The basic version of the PS5 promised 8K resolution, but the hardware rarely reaches 4K in games and the seal was removed in the most recent versions.

At launch, 50 games will be improved for the new hardware, according to Sony. The promise is that the titles will run natively in 4K, and in some cases, like Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7, in 8K or 4K with ray tracing.

Box Contents

The PS5 Pro box emphasizes that the console does not include a disc reader, which can be purchased separately. The box also includes a DualSense wireless controller, HDMI, USB and power cables, and the pre-installed Astro’s Playroom game.

And, despite the PS5 Pro being larger, the new console’s box is smaller than that of the base version.

In the USA, the new console costs US$700, while in Brazil it costs R$6,500.
