Windows users are not happy with the direction of artificial intelligence in the operating system and have made this very clear on social media. A post by Pavan Davuluri, head of Windows at Microsoft, attracted more than 400 responses, largely negative.
Davuluri wrote a post on X promoting Microsoft’s developer-focused Ignite conference. He said that Windows is evolving to become an “agentic” OS, that is, one that performs tasks autonomously, following user requests.

Windows 11 and AI do not please users
In recent years, Microsoft has added more and more Copilot features to Windows 11, the name given to its set of AI tools.
One of the most recent additions is Copilot Voice, which allows you to request actions using natural language. Another is Copilot Vision, which analyzes screen content to provide guided support to the user.

The focus on AI is so big that the company even created the Copilot+ PC certification, which indicates the best computers to run resources of this type.
The news, however, does not seem to have attracted many users. Even before that, Windows 11 no longer had much prestige. An indicator proves the low adoption: Windows 10 remains on more than 40% of PCs, despite the end of support and its successor having been on the market for four years.
