PNY announces two microSD Express Cards compatible with Switch 2

The expectation for Nintendo Switch 2 is so high that even companies like PNY are taking advantage of the arrival of the console to promote new products. The company has announced two new microSD Express cards, which can be used to expand the capacity of the next generation of Nintendo’s laptop.

PNY’s new cards are not licensed like some of Sandisk, so the company does not print the Nintendo logo or symbols of its characters in the look of the products. However, the console appears in the company’s promotional images and its support is stressed in the description of the microSD Express.

PNY promises speeds of up to 890MB/s in sequential reading and up to 550MB/s in recording. The estimate is valid for the two capacity options that will offer: 128GB and 256GB. In addition to compatibility with Switch 2-and any Microsd Express device-cards work on devices with UHS-I and UHS-II as well.

Finally, as it appears in the print of each card, both are certified with A1 for application performance and V30 for video performance.

Price and availability of new PNY cards

PNY’s new Microsd Express memory cards are already on the company’s official website. The 128GB option comes out for the suggested price of $ 45, while the 256GB model appears for $ 56.

For comparative criteria, they are more affordable than similar models of Sandisk, which appear in Amazon for $ 50 and $ 68, respectively. In addition, PNY promises higher speeds as well.
